Our new Brothers Syrah may be our most personal wine yet. Take a moment to read the back label, and you’ll feel it. You might even see some familiar faces on the front label, but it’s the story behind the wine that truly resonates.
“This beautiful, complex, and layered Syrah is inspired by the equally complex and layered relationships between brothers. It celebrates a lifetime of revelry and rivalry. Life is short. Raise a glass to enjoy a memory, a laugh, or a moment with your sibling.”
Brothers Syrah is about celebrating relationships – the simple act of being together. It’s about creating new experiences or reliving treasured memories. Siblings, especially brothers, share a bond deeply rooted in their shared past. There’s a special shorthand between them, a knowing glance when the guffaws break out, when only the siblings understand the joke. At their best, siblings are confidants who know each other’s strengths and weaknesses, offering advice without judgment and support without condition. Their connection becomes a sanctuary, providing comfort and belonging. No matter where life takes them, they’ll always have each other to lean on.
But not all brotherly relationships are as easy as back slaps and beers. When Andy and I had three boys in a row, we made it a priority to raise them to support one another. Like many families, ours isn’t without its challenges. We were determined to foster the closeness we ourselves missed. So, we created intentional moments of celebration and support. If one of them got a good grade, we clinked glasses and toasted the scholar at the dinner table. If someone won a basketball playoff, we were all there in the stands, cheering them on. A win for one was a win for all. And when one missed a game-winning shot, his brothers were the first to buy the beers and offer consoling hugs.
Over time, Andy, Will, and Nick grew inseparable. Their bond became so strong that when they started dating, their girlfriends would joke, “If you date one Busch boy, you date them all.” These three can taunt each other endlessly, but heaven help the person outside their inner sanctum who tries to do the same.
Over a bottle of Brothers Syrah, we hope to foster the same sense of connection and camaraderie. Whether it sparks laughter, stirs deep conversations, or brings back memories of childhood, we hope this wine brings you closer to those you care about.
And maybe, just maybe, it’ll inspire you to pick up the phone and call someone you haven’t spoken to in a while – a brother, a sister, or a friend who’s been on your mind. Life is short. Raise a glass to someone you love – ideally WITH someone you love.
Cheers!
