CUSTOM PROPOSAL COMPLETE WITH GOATS
For weeks Sam secretly worked with Armando Martinez, of Alegria by Design, to plan an unforgettable marriage proposal for his girlfriend Natalie. They headed from Los Angeles to Santa Ynez on June 27th, with Natalie completely unaware of what surprises were in store. After meandering along the dirt roads, they reached Refugio Ranch’s private estate where they were greeted by saddled horses and two goats adorned in bow ties waiting just around the lake.
ONCE IN A LIFETIME
On the other side of the ranch, event planner Armando, photographer and videographer were busy placing the final touches on the proposal site. A picnic was set with the estate’s wine, local delights, and gorgeous blooms including a custom floral crown for Natalie. To top it off, Natalie’s favorite animals, goats, were there as a part of the festivities. The Farmstead’s own Cornelius and Sebastian were happily grazing and bleating under the oaks. As soon as the couple was spotted coming around the lake on horseback, the entire team hid behind the towering oaks, with video and photo equipment positioned perfectly to capture a once in a lifetime moment.
SHE SAID “YES!”
As the horses approached we could hear Natalie, full of tears, say, “Oh my god, goats!” Sam helped her off the horse, bent down on one knee, and popped open a box to reveal a stunning ring. The couple spent the next few hours in each other’s arms, enjoying their picnic, basking on the lake dock and petting the goats.
