So often, they’ll say, “I’ll try the Chardonnay.” Sorry, we don’t make a chard. “Ok, then I will have the Sauvignon Blanc.” Sorry, we don’t make a Sauv Blanc. Why don’t you try our crisp French-style white?

Our 2021 August White wine is so refreshing and light that it is delicious on its own, sitting by the pool, yet equally fabulous in a formal dining room paired with lighter summer fare.

Pro tip: Make extra pesto because you will want to keep it in the fridge to put over goat cheese as an appetizer or grilled fish and chicken for a quintessential summer main dish. I love it alone on crackers with a sip of August White while I cook (or while Mark cooks, let’s be honest!).
This Rhône White blend honors family while celebrating a bright and bountiful season. Andy’s father and grandfather, both named August, inspired us to share the best of what we have with family and friends. The month of August is also a time of harvest when we gather to share the fruits of the land.
Delivering both freshness and richness, the Folded Hills August White is a perfect balance of Grenache Blanc and Viognier. After harvest, the fruit was gently whole-cluster pressed, and the fermentation happens naturally with ambient yeast. To highlight mouthfeel and a balance between the two varietals, the wine was aged for five months in primarily neutral French oak and 12.5% stainless steel barrels. The wine sat on gross lees until being racked to tank for bottling. We are proud to share this 2021 vintage of August White with you.
This mineral-driven wine shows beautiful notes of pear and honeysuckle, hints of citrus, and layers of oyster shell. The round mouthfeel showcases the complexity yet approachability of this wine.
