Second Saturday Seminar – Get to Know Syrah
Dark, Spicy Mysterious and Complex — The Many Faces of Syrah
A native of France’s Rhône Valley that is now found all over the world, Syrah is a fascinating wine grape. Sometimes dark and inky with aromas of black pepper, smoked meats and ripe olives, other times deep ruby with aromas of earth, dark red and black fruits, and baking spices, Syrah can be a chameleon reflecting the nuances of the vineyards where it is grown. For this reason, Syrah is a prized grape among winemakers, but sometimes confounding to wine consumers.
In this one our deep dive into Syrah, we’ll explore its origins in France, unravel the secrets of its multiple personalities around the world, and dispel rumors and myths surrounding this amazing wine grape variety while we taste along with Folded Hills’ current release and library examples of our Syrah portfolio.
Join us for a special Valentine’s Day Weekend Second Saturday Seminar on this sweetheart of a wine grape. The more you know the more you’ll enjoy!
