Folded Hills is uniquely situated in the Santa Ynez Valley just five miles from the Pacific Ocean. Our hillside vineyard sits on a rare limestone deposit and is planted exclusively with Rhône varietals. This site captures maximum sun exposure and cooling ocean breezes that wash over the vines each day. Our grapes grow in ideal conditions and are farmed organically, with a nod toward biodynamic principles. Our location and conditions are unique for this area, and are found in just a handful of exceptional vineyards around the world.
Folded Hills is a family-owned, boutique winery producing wines with the utmost attention to quality. We strive to let the personality of each vintage speak transparently through our small production wines. Our wines are crafted using ambient wild yeasts with minimal intervention, to directly reflect our one-of-a-kind terroir from the grape to your glass. The results are exceptionally well-balanced wines with moderate alcohol levels, lively acidity, and tremendous age potential on par with the finest old-world wines that inspire us.
