Second Saturday Seminar – Organics, Biodynamics, and Sustainability – An Earth Day Celebration
Second Saturday Seminar – Organics, Biodynamics, and Sustainability — An Earth Day Celebration
Earth Day, like Folded Hills, was founded in Santa Barbara County, so we think it is only fitting to celebrate and honor the day. Sustainability is an integral part of our DNA here at Folded Hills. Our vineyard and row crops are organically farmed and CCOF certified, we follow many of the principles of Biodynamics in our vineyards, and choose sustainable or lowest-impact options for our consumables at the winery and our ranch. In this one-hour seminar we’ll explore the concept of Sustainability as it relates to viticulture and winemaking, the role that organic, and biodynamic principles play in support of sustainability goals, and the various certified sustainability programs on the West Coast of the US the wine industry have adopted.
Join us for this opportunity to celebrate Earth Day with a special flight of Folded Hills wines while we share our thoughts on this important subject and its role in our winemaking philosophy and values.
