Every Friday in December, join us for Folded Hills’ Philanthropy Fridays. We’ll be spotlighting Hearts Aligned. The winery is highlighting their mission in our tasting room, and the Kim and Andy Busch Family Foundation is making a grant to support their programs. We invite you to learn more and get involved.

Hearts Alligned is committed to providing financial assistance, family support and advocacy to families with a critically ill child living in Santa Barbara County.

Philanthropy Fridays at Folded Hills donates to a different charity each month. So far this year, we have raised and donated over $150,000 and over 25,000 pounds of clothing, household supplies, and other necessities to Dream Center to aid Los Angeles fire victims.

Founded in 2021 by Vivian Solodkin in memory of her son, Carlos, Hearts Aligned is a Santa Barbara County nonprofit that helps families with critically or chronically ill children weather medical crises.

It provides direct financial aid for essentials such as rent and utilities, car payments/insurance, lodging, and urgent household needs, plus gas and grocery vouchers for hospital visits and appointments.

Beyond funding, the team delivers supplies (like strollers, car seats, diapers) and offers patient advocacy to help caregivers understand diagnoses, navigate medical bills, and connect with other resources. Since 2023, the organization supported over 200 local families, underscoring its focus on meeting urgent, practical needs while building a caring community around each child.
